  HEY Y'ALL! This weekend I have 2 birthday parties to attend, my co-worker and my good friend Veronica. I have NO clue what I am going to wear or what I am going to do to my darn hair! I have been lazy all week, just been putting it into a ponytail. No wigs,no natural hair dos...NADA!! LOL Last week I did a twist out that I didn't like so I wore it in what I call "The Bird's Nest" lol:

   You know at times I get the urge to just perm my hair and say fugetaboutit! I then look at the natural sistas and remember what my goal is :-)  I need to do a length check and cut, so I will more than likely be wearing my natural hair straight. Speaking of hair, look what I picked up for $12.99.....GIOVANNI TEA TREE TRIPLE THREAT shampoo,conditioner AND leave-in!!

I got it at T.J.Maxx and I could not believe my eyes when I saw the price!! I grabbed the box like somebody was going to realize hey priced it wrong and take it from me lol.  Those of you that are Giovanni Stans KNOW that one bottle alone can run you $7-$9 depending on where you purchase. I've used Smooth As Silk but never Triple threat so i am super anxious to wash my hair :-) Well off to find me an outfit for the b-day parties (will post pix later) TTYL... DEBZ

Catching Up....

  Hey hey! The weekend is almost here and I LIVE for the weekends! Its been storming here alot, i'm talking tornado and flood warnings galore. Thank god we didn't loose our power but some people weren't as fortunate. I thought i'd catch up just a little bit, my computer was down and I did a few things that I didn't get to post. Pretty Spring Polishes For CHEAP!!

   Hello sweeties! I haven't been unavailable for the past week my computer was sick :-( 

Yes honey, I had so many viruses the computer guys told me they needed an extra day to fix it. I was so lonely without my "baby", I don't know what to do with myself when I don't have my laptop. I have to catch you gals up on what I've been doing this past week or so but FIRST...check out the deal I got on these polishes. When I got out of church, I didn't want to go straight home but I assumed everything was closed since it was Easter until I saw all the cars parked in front of Big Lots.

    I haven't been in that place in sssooo long but since I was bored I scooted on in to pass time. I went to their "beauty aisle" and I saw these little pretty polishes by ELF cosmetics for $4.50. I have a few things from ELF and they have worked out ok so I decided to give these a whirl. I wanted to find a color that match the Gelish nails I had and the little pack came with a VERY SIMILAR color! I hope you enjoy..Check out the color samples on my nails in the pic below :

Marsha Ambrosius in Concert!

  Hey gals, Tuesday started out a little rough for me but ended GREAT! I was a little ill early in the morning and had to call into work. I stayed in bed, watched some tv, and fell asleep on my laptop smh. Well my bff called me around 5:30pm to see what i was doing which was nothing. She then made my day when she told me she had 2 free tickets to see Melanie Fiona, Anthony David, and my FAV hair crush MARSHA AMBROSIUS. My bff said "Be ready in an hour!"...... I've never gotten ready so darn fast lol.

   Anthony David did a marvelous job! I am in love with him, such a beautiful voice and awesome soul. Now Melanie Fiona.....uhhh...well...shes pretty and has a beautiful voice, just CRAPPY songs. I mean, I was sitting waaayyy up in the balcony (remember these were free tickets lol). When I looked down at people, they were on their phones NOBODY was feeling Melanie's boring music smh. It was the total opposite when Marsha and Anthony were singing. Anywho, here's a pic of me and my bestie at the concert.....

   

DRUGSTORE MAKEUP DEALS!!

  I had to let you gals know about the deals at CVS, I went by there on my lunch break to get a bottle of water and I was really trying to avoid the beauty section because I tend to spend forever browsing. I couldn't buy anything because i'm broke as a joke until Friday (been saving up for a new car,so i'm on a spending budget). I do plan on purchasing a couple of the Milani lipsticks i've had my eye on thats for sure :-)

      Revlon is also B1G1 1/2 off as well, I may check out something in the Revlon line but I just haven't been into them lately...ehh IDK *shrug shoulders*. Any who, don't miss out on the deals ladies it ends April 16th so

Baby Banana Food Deep Conditioner

 Hey y'all Sundays are my off day and usually the day i do full clean up on the house from top to bottom and also the day i baby my hair. Well I decided i wanted to try the baby banana food treatment  I saw on hell notes for beauty and roller-set my hair as well. I put a jar of baby food into a bowl along with a tablespoon of honey and coconut oil.

• Coconut Oil: High moisture retaining capacity on hair, and it makes the hair soft. Coconut oil is a far better conditioner for hair than ANY synthetic one on the market! (fact)
• Bananas: Contains vitamins that help soften the hair and protects the hairs natural elasticity therefore preventing breakage and split ends.
• Honey: Honey is a natural humectant that traps moisture in the hair, smoothes the hair cuticle, and gives  a nice shine.

  So I applied the mixture to my hair and left it on 45 minutes, afterwards i rinsed it out with lukewarm water then followed up with a deep conditioner and sat under my bonnet dryer for 45 minutes( see why it takes me all day to do my hair smh). I then rinse everything out with ice cold water (to help seal the hair cuticles), apply kinky curly knot today leave in and roller-set my hair. The results.............

Pretty,soft, bouncy hair :-)

Overall i give this treatment 5 stars! I will definitely be doing this twice a month, I'm super pleased with the results! Give it a try, your hair will be begging you for more!! ;-)

I Got Gelish Nails!!

      I went to the nail salon with the intention of getting fake nails, I really didn't want fake nails but my nails are so fragile and I have been trying different things to get them to grow. Once I got in the nail salon I changed my mind, I really REALLY didn't want the fake nails and opted for just a manicure at the last minute. The guy that started on my nails asked me did I want to try Shilac (don't know if I spelled that right), he saw the puzzled look on my face and started explaining it to me. He told me that it was gel based, activated with the uv ray, last TWO weeks AND the best part of all that sold me.......my nails WON'T CHIP! I quickly accepted and chose the color "Seafoam". Check the pics below :-)

My Weekly Hair Regimen

       I get a lot of people that ask me how I take care of my hair and I could just go on all day because I do a lot to to keep it healthy and moisturized. Basically this is what I do:

Monday: I co-wash with a cheapie condish, apply a dollop of Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie while my hair is dripping wet, seal my hair and ends, air dry, then place my hair in a bun to protect my ends.

Tuesday: Moisturize with Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie and seal with Olive Oil. Place hair in a protective style to keep my ends from splitting.

Wednesday: Depending on what my hair looks like I may repeat everything I did on Monday. If not I will simply repeat what I did on Tuesday.

Thursday: I repeat Tuesdays routine, may throw on a wig to change it up.

Friday:  Repeat mondays routine, wear a wig or do a twisted bantu knot out

Saturday: Repeat tuesdays routine.

Sunday: This day is where all the work comes in! I get up at 8 am and start the process of shampooing, remember all week I am washing my hair with a conditioner which is great for the hair. What's bad is when you shampoo everyday that my friend is very drying.  I put my hair in 4 loose braids then douse my hair with coconut oil as my pre-poo or make my own little pre-poo concoction (pix coming soon).

    I leave it in with a cap on for about and hour, then i pull out my Giovanni Smooth As Silk shampoo and start to wash my hair in sections. After I'm done washing i prepare my deep conditioner mix. Usually I use Giovanni Smooth As Silk Conditioner mixed with a tbs.. of honey & olive oil. Apply to my hair and sit under my bonnet hair dryer for 20 mins.

   After the 20 mins, I rinse my hair with the coldest water I can take to help with the shine. Then I just apply my leave in conditioner which is now Kinky Curly Knot Today. I let my hair air dry and style.  Caring for natural/transitioning hair is not easy like some people think. If you don't keep up with your hair it will get dry,brittle and break, not to discourage anyone because I truly love textured hair but as you can see this is just my WEEKLY regimen. I do more things to it monthly but thats a WHOLE other post lol. Putting all that time into your hair yield marvelous results which is well worth it to me :-)

Kinky Curly Knot Today

I don't know if i can put into words how much I LOVE this leave in conditioner! Its AWESOME! I just really started using it consistently for a month now. I've used other products in the line but I never really tried this one enough to review it. In case you didn't know I am a transitioner so I deal with two textures and I try my best to be gentle with my hair. This product detangles and leaves my hair so soft. Its a very clean conditioner and so worth the $10.99 I payed for it at Target. Its a VERY popular product in the natural world and I see why. I totally recommend this product, even if you are a relaxed hair sista. My comb slides through my hair like butter and its officially a staple product of mine. Garcelle Beauvais Nilon

  Garcelle is always flawless! Her hair seems to always be perfect, make up is never overdone, I just LOVE her over all style. She's classy, sophisticated and she seems like a down to earth person. 

As you can see I have a real girl crush on her lol, she really inspires me with her girly,sexy style. Even Pregnant she's still on point smh! Who's your style inspiration?

MY TOP 5 FAVORITE LIPSTICKS RIGHT NOW

          Lately I've been experimenting with different lipsticks trying to get out of my normal go to colors. In my quest i've discovered colors that look awesome with my skin tone. As a woman of color, I always thought there were certain colors I should stay away from. A WEEKEND W/ "IZZIE"

This weekend was the birthday of my good friend Kristie, she had a birthday party at a local club and we really had a great time. I had no idea what to do with my hair for the party. I really wanted to wear it straight but didn't have time to go through the motions of getting it straight since i worked late on saturday. When i got off i went to my local b.s.s. to purchase a half wig. I wanted to try something new but i felt i should go with what i know is going to look good since its so last minute.  I ended up with ol faithful "Izzie", she never lets me down lol.

Sunday was BEAUTIFUL, windy but pretty! Sunday i decided to go have a drink with my mom. She didn't want me to take any pix of her because her hair "looked bad" smh. It really looked quite awesome but she's a drama queen lol.
