Pamper Those Strands

Brrrrr It's getting colder outside! I've stocked up on sweaters and scarves and now I'm really about to get serious with my protective styling . It has been a little warm on my side of the world so i have been taking advantage of that weather by alternating between wearing my hair and wigs but now i can't play around anymore. One big NO-NO for ANY type of hair is to wash it with scorching hot water. The heat from hot water sucks the moisture right out of your hair leaving it dry and brittle and you need all you can get at this time of year. Ladies make sure you are moisturizing those ends and tucking them away as much as possible.  I know we all want to show off that "Jermack Bounce back"<showing my age, but too much rubbing against clothing will eventually cause severe damage so be careful. I guess they needed it more than me....

  I just purchased a new car,well a 2010 toyota corolla an i've been wanting that car for some time now because the corolla has a great reputation and with the gas mileage being 35mpg it was a no brainer to go for this car. I purchased it on Saturday November 19th and was uber excited, well,the day i decided to start going to the gym was the day my nightmare came true. On wed. nov. 23rd, I was on the treadmill at my local gym for exactly 55 minutes before they closed , as i was walking out to my new car i noticed the passenger door was open...MY CAR WAS BROKEN INTO. My heart was shattered just like the glass on my passenger seat,i felt violated and hurt as I sat on the curb calling the police. They must've saw my sweater sitting on top of my gym bag which they probably thought was a laptop bag judging by it's shape. I did foolishly have my purse tucked under the passenger seat so they got that. Inside was my beloved digital camera, my wolf ring,new makeup palette, company cellphone and other misc. items. My only digital camera is gone so there won't be any videos or pictures anytime soon. I do have two cameras on lay-a-way which i hope to get out soon but until then i'm "cameraless". Not ONLY did they take those items but they also took my FRESHLY made chicken apple pecan salad from Wendy's!!! I'm thankful it wasn't me being held up because this is the time of year for craziness...people are getting desperate. The cost of the repair to the window set me back which means i will be working MORE overtime this week to get me back on track at the same time those are all material items and i am already replacing them as i type. The lesson is....BE SMART, this is the time of the year for thieves and they are trying to come up anyway they can so be careful and keep your car free of any valuable belongings.

 Is it only Tuesday? Ughhh, I'm so ready for Thanksgiving and it still seems far away lol
I JUST uploaded this video that i recorded back when i was in Atlanta. I haven't had time to edit any vids so i stayed up late,edited and uploaded it. It's nothing special,just me rambling and a few photos and junk. The lighting was pretty good in the vid, i kinda look like i gots a "J.LO Glow" going on lol.

It was amazing,oh my god i was ssooo anxious to see it. I went by myself because by sunday everyone had already seen it TWICE and now i know why. I plan on seeing it again on Thanksgiving with my friend Yolanda. I've been amped up for months and now i feel like i can breathe again lol. I had my tshirt on,my wolf ring, and of course i had to take pics next to my "husband" Jacob hehe

"Cotton Candy" Hair + OOTD

  Hey now! I'm back y'all....did ya miss me?*bats eyes*
 I know i've been out of pocket for like 14 days but i was in Atlanta and didn't have time to hop online. I did have a good time in Atlanta but unfortunately i didn't get to see everyone that i planned on seeing. I was being pulled every which away and just didn't have time.


Now about my hair...isn't it fab?!! I LOOOVE it! My girl Kelly has this blow dryer brush thingy and really wanted to straighten my hair with it. I had on a wig and it was looking a hot mess so i thought "why not?!!" My girl Kelly has this beautiful curly hair and she always thinks it looks bad, her hair texture is like a 3b i believe.

 When she straightens HER hair it's all silky and stuff and i think when she straightened mine she thought it was going to look like hers....WRONG haha. I made a video on it so you can see how it was before,once i edit it i will post it.

   It's fun experimenting with my hair, as Kelly was blowing it out she kept saying "your hair is sssooo healthy". I work hard to keep it in tip top shape and it has grown sssoo much! I'm loving this journey :-)

 Well another year means i'm getting older *sigh*. I wanted to kick my birthday off on this past Saturday early with my M-Town peeps. I didn't really want to go to a club or anything, i just wanted to have dinner,drinx, & laughs. I had such an awesome time, i was super happy all of my closest friends came out to celebrate with me. I had my dinner and this quaint little place here in midtown called "The Blue Monkey". Some of my friends were like "Uhhh what's up with this place" but by the end of the night I had the girls on the floor cutting a rug hehe. Check out a few pics below:

  Now i'm counting down til i'm back in the "A" with my girlies! Wednesday I am heading to Atlanta for 5 days to visit my friends and celebrate my birthday. For those of you who don't know I lived in Atlanta for like 7 or 8 years and I tend to visit like once or twice a year now. I do miss the "A" but being that it was not an option for my brother and his family (nurses don't get paid enough there) i decided to say goodbye to Atlanta :-(


 Annnyyyywho, in case you haven't notcied i've dropped a few pounds! Yup yup, people are noticing! My coworkers,friends,and even my family are like "Hey,you are REALLY loosing weight". From the time i weighed myself until Oct.31st i've lost 13lbs *does the dougie*
 Yeaaaahhh boooyy! I really have to go H.A.M this month because i have started off the month with no working out because i have been tired from working 50 hours a week. I've finally chosen a gym to join and it's time to get the toning done so there will be no more slacking...just serious iron pumping lol. I won't post the FINAL pics of my weight loss until New Years Eve so it can me a little more dramatic so stay tuned until next time kiddies......

It's My "Blogiversary"..YAY!

"Yaaaay It's My Blogiversary *does the dougie*! Yes it's been one year since i created my little blog and it has been so much fun. I didn't REALLY get into it until like April of this year for some reason, I still feel like i'm learning....hell i still don't know how to add a facebook "like" box(been trying for like 4 months lol).
