I think it's cute. Your volume is great. It looks really nice to me and I like your bang area. Nice job. I just cut my hair a few months ago and I wish it was still your length so that I could experiment with bantu knots and such. What I wouldn't do to be able to do a good twistout!
Also, I didn't really pay attention to what products you used, but my hair would fail the same way yours did lol. I wouldn't get it right on the first try.
I would suggest that maybe after you blow your hair out that you might want to use a butter with hold to rod or roll up your hair. Or if you stick with the bantu knots that you secure them with hair pins. Again Idk if you did that this time around.
Also Chime or Haircrush on YT, did pin curls on wet hair, where she used leave in conditioner I think, and had previously detangled. With the LIC, she then sectioned a piece and tightly rolled up her hair with no rollers or rods, almost like in a coil and secured it with pins. She slept with her hair like that and her curls were tight and she then had the option to separate for a more voluminous look. Also I don't remember if her hair was soaking wet or just a little damp. Still maybe you can try that method. Good luck with your feature style endeavors buddy!

@April Thank you so much for that, i used shea moisture,a lil upper management gel and kinky curly not today as the leave in. I definitely am going to try something thicker with more hold. Thanks again!
